Horsemanship Workshops

Horsemanship workshops will provide answers to your questions about horses and horsemanship.

Our next Workshop will be December, 15:  1 pm until 4 pm. Contact Susan for availability.

This Workshop will focus on hoof angles and correct lunging techniqes to gain respect from the horse.

The purpose of these workshops are to help you with questions and ideas about working and playing with your horse(s).

The workshops will be skill based.

The format will be discussion, body awareness, ground work, then how these elements affects your relationship with your horse. Then the focus will become riding and developing a feel for your horse.

Here are some sample questions:

How do I cue a turn on the haunches?

How do I cue a turn on the forehand?

How do I soften my horses stops?

How do I soften my horses ability to back up?

Can you explain to me what the clinician meant when she said "pick up a soft feel"?

Why is backing my horse from the ground a good idea?

I'll come up with more questions!
